Program Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – cedar forest – Ifrane – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Merzouga:

At the agreed time, we will pick you up at your hotel or riad where you will be staying in Fes and we will leave to begin our tour to Ifran, a beautiful town known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, we will make a stop to take photographs of the “Stone Lion”. . It was carved by a German soldier during World War II in honor of the last Atlas lion. We will continue the road to Midelt. During this trip you will experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Azrou, there we can admire the Great Gouraud Cedar, the largest ancient cedar in the region and also feed the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys, which live in the area. After enjoying some time in the forest, the journey continues along Midelt, the magnificent hills and mountains of the Middle Atlas. After the city of Midelt, we will see the fascinating Tizi Ntalghamt, and we will continue our route through the mountain passes where the road follows the course of the Ziz Valley, hidden among a magnificent palm grove, via Lago de Agua in the province of Errachidia, Here you can have lunch and enjoy Berber hospitality. Afterwards, we will travel along the lush Ziz Valley, stopping to enjoy its panoramic views on the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. One of the most beautiful and impressive places in Morocco, dinner and night in a hotel located at the foot of the dunes!

Day 2: Merzouga and a Trip to its Surroundings:

After breakfast we will begin the excursion through the dunes through Erg Chebbi, we will visit the town of Khamlia (black village), where we will relax with tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa spiritual music. We will continue visiting the different villages of the nomadic people of the desert in their haimas and we will discover a new meaning of life, we will return to the hotel to attend and contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets that nature offers us, the sensation of just seeing a sea of sand, silence and tranquility that you breathe, a dream that will surely be unforgettable. Tonight we will spend it under an authentic nomadic haima.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert – Todra Gorge – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate:

It is highly recommended to wake up early to see the sunrise, where the colors of the sky over the dunes gradually gain the prominence of the sunrise, and which will captivate you for minutes. We will return with the camels to the hotel, after a good shower and a typical breakfast we will leave for Ouarzazate, stopping first in Rissani, where we will stop to visit its bustling market. There is a special parking lot to leave the donkeys with which the locals transport their products such as handicrafts, alfalfa, dates, etc. to sell them in the market on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Our route continues to the Todra Gorges, one of the most spectacular places in Morocco, known by climbers. The gorges offer us a canyon with vertical walls of reddish rock, the highest walls reach about 300 meters high, without any type of hustle and bustle of people, it is a perfect place to take a walk and admire nature in its purest form. We will continue our trip passing through the Dades Valley and stopping at the surprising Valley of the Roses, located at the foot of the High Atlas in Morocco, at the confluence with the Dades Valley. The Asif M’Goun River irrigates the valley, which has its main access through the town of Kelaat M’Gouna. Our next stop will be the Skoura Palm Grove, an oasis planted in the 12th century by the Almohad sultan Yaqub al-Mansur and made up of 700,000 palm trees and countless kasbahs. We end the day in Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel or riad.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Taourirt Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech:

In the morning visit to the Taourirt Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site. It was the residence of one of the most powerful governors in the region. We will continue our route to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (World Heritage Site), where well-known epic films such as “Lawrence of Arabia” or the most recent “Gladiator” have been filmed. At the top of the tower of the old Kasbah you can enjoy impressive views. Our trip continues through the port of Tickha at 2,260 m altitude and which is the main port of the Atlas Mountains, through a curve in the road dotted with villages with traditional stone architecture, we will make several stops to take photos and We will arrive at one of the Imperial cities which is Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation in hotel.
