Program Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca – Fes:

His private tour begins when your driver picks you up from your hotel in Casablanca. We will then explore the main cultural sights before driving to Fes, where we will spend the night in a riad/hotel.

Day 2: Fes – Guided City Tour:

We will start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, meandering through its alleys and narrow streets. We will start sightseeing at the gate of the Royal Palace, followed by the Jewish headquarters where the first Mellah in Morocco was built, during the 16th century. We will make sure that you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region.

We will also visit the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit many different cooperatives and then experience a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes before ending the night in your Riad.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga:

After breakfast at your hotel in Fes, we will leave for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region passing through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco. Next, we’ll drive a little further to explore the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can stop to feed the Berber apes. We will then continue to Midelt where we will have lunch and then follow the Ziz River to the Ziz Gorge (valley). Our journey continues through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud and Rissani, where we will stop to explore the souk (local market). Our day comes to an end when we arrive in Merzouga, spending the night in a local hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga desert:

After breakfast, we will leave for the desert; we will trade our 4×4, we will spend the day exploring the desert region and Erg Chebbi dunes, doing a circuit through the desert dunes where you will experience first hand the captivating contrast of the Moroccan (Berber) nomadic way of life. From there, we will visit the “black village” of Khamlia, where we will enjoy a performance by the renowned Gnawan musicians, followed by a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. We will spend the afternoon riding camels and enjoying the sunset behind the dunes before heading back to our camp. There, we will enjoy a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious local mint tea and be delighted by traditional Berber music under the starry and moonlit sky of the wonderful Sahara desert.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:

We will leave early to see the sunrise in the desert of Merzouga and then we will return by camel to the village. From there, we will leave for Tinghir, to reach the Todra Gorges, which is the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. Here we can stop to walk inside the valley, and after lunch, in the gorge, we will continue to the Dades gorge, where we will enjoy sand castles and also geological features called “monkey toes/feet”. We will spend the night in Dades Gorge, in a local hotel/riad.

Day 6: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will head towards Ouarzazate passing through the route of the thousand Kasbahs (fortresses). We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna (which is the center of the Valley of Roses) to stretch and have lunch at a local restaurant. We will then continue our private tour stopping first at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah before continuing through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakech where we will spend the night in a local riad/hotel.

Day 7: Guided visit to Marrakech:

Today we will have a guided tour of Marrakech. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city, including the famous Jamma el Fna square, the Koutoubia Mosque, markets, palaces and museums. We will also explore parts of the city that belong to Fes Jdid “New Fes”, such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens and Majorelle.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca Med V Airport:

Today depends on your flight schedule. If you have time, you can spend the afternoon discovering the less touristy areas of Marrakech and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before being transferred to your hotel/airport where our service will end.
