Program Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouet Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou – Ounila Valley – Ouarzazate:

Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8.30am in a private 4×4 vehicle, and depart towards Ouarzazate passing through the High Atlas Mountains. On our way, we will see the port of Tizi Ntichka, that. At 2,260m it is the highest point in our country. We will enjoy beautiful landscapes from the viewpoints along the way and make some stops to take photos of the Berber villages. Then we will take a small road that goes to Telouat Kasbah. After visiting the kasbah, you will have free time to enjoy a typical meal in the city. In the afternoon we will continue through the Ounila valley, where you can see small Berber villages and families living in adobe houses lost in the mountains, to reach the ksar (fortified town) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage). Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert – Camel ride and night in the Berber tent:

After breakfast we will depart towards the Draa Valley, where you can see one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Along the way we will make some stops to take photos and enjoy the view of the spectacular kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the road, as well as the beauties of the Draa Valley. You will have some free time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif, and then after two hours of driving, we will arrive at the wonderful dunes of Merzouga. “Dusty sand dune desert.” There we will change our motorized transport for one powered by animals to go to the heart of the desert. Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Nomadic families – Tissardmine Oasis – Khamlia Village – Erg Chebbi:

This is a full desert day. “Date with the sunrise” If you are in the middle of the desert, it is worth getting up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you have ever seen at the top of a dune near the camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift from nature. After dawn we return to Merzouga on the camels where a hearty breakfast awaits us. Then we will border the Erg Chebbi, a large expanse of sandy desert where we can find the Great Dune of Morocco. which is more than 250 meters high. We then continue along the road that was previously used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that border Agelia. Stop at the Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area, we continue along a path where we can see nomadic settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the Erg Chebbi hole. We will arrive at the village of Kamilia, originally from Mali, where we will have a relaxing cup of tea while listening to a concert of Gnawa spiritual music. Transfer to your accommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the city or the dunes next to the hotel to watch the sunset. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Erfoud Fossils – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:

We leave the desert after breakfast to go to Rissani where we will visit the market (market days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), we then continue towards Erfoud where we can visit the fossilized marble manufacturers before starting our way towards Touroug and Tinjdad Palm Groves. An hour later we will arrive at one of the best places in the High Atlas, the Todra Gorges. The river course has carved the cliff canyon and is very popular with climbers due to its beauty and high rock faces. Free time for lunch in this wonderful place. A walk through the gorges is highly recommended to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon we continue towards the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs passing through Boumalne Dades, we will stop at the “monkey’s paws”. Dinner and night in the Dades gorges.

Day 5: Dades Gorges – Rose Valley – Skoura Palm Groves – High Atlas – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we can enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley from a strategic viewpoint in the mountains, from there we can appreciate the large number of kasbahs and the scenic characteristics of each one. Then we continue along a road point with different kasbahs of tourist interest. After some stops to enjoy the “road of a thousand kasbahs”. The Valley of Roses and the great palm grove of Skoura we will arrive in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, former residence of Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. And if you are interested, we can visit the film studios and the film museum. Free time for lunch in the city. In the afternoon we begin our way back to Marrakech passing through the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass with some photo stops. Here we leave the lunar landscape behind to reach another view full of colors. We will arrive in Marrakech around 6 p.m., transfer to the hotel and end of our services.
