Program Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca:

On the first day we pick you up from the airport, the port or your accommodation in Casablanca. Casablanca is considered the economic center and the largest city in Morocco. Firstly, we will visit the Hassan II mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, located on the west coast of the city. It is on a promontory, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Free time for lunch. We will then explore the city, and also visit the amazing Cornwall of Casablanca. Accommodation in a hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Assilah:

After breakfast, we drive along the coast to Rabat. Rabat is one of the imperial cities of Morocco, and the current capital. We will visit the highlights of the city, including: the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and also the Kasbah of Oudaya. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will head north to Assilah, the beautiful coastal town. Accommodation in a hotel.

Day 3: Asilah – Tangier – Rif Mountains – Chaouen (The Blue City):

After breakfast, we leave Assilah, and drive along the coast to Tangier. She is known as “the bride of the north.” It is located in the northwest, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean in front of Cape Spartel, in the Strait of Gibraltar. First of all, we will explore the beautiful city, and visit the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. Free time for lunch, before driving into the interior of Chefchaouen. Passing through the city of Tetouan, and the Rif mountains. We will make stops along the way for panoramic views. We will spend the night in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 4: Visit to the blue city of Chaouen:

After breakfast, we will explore Chefchaouen, the blue city, also known as Achaoun, which means horns in Berber. The city is located in the Rif mountains in northwest Morocco. It is famous for its buildings and alleys painted white and blue. First we will walk through its charming old Medina, which has so many authentic blue doors and whitewashed walls. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you can take a trip to the Spanish mosque. Located on high ground, where you can see the spectacular view of the entire blue city. Finally, return to the hotel. spend the night in the same hotel.

Day 5: The Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes:

After breakfast, free time to stroll through the beautiful alleys of the blue city of Chaouen. We then headed to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. It is well preserved, as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It has many beautiful mosaics scattered here and there, along with ancient pillars and arches. After strolling through the ruins, we drive 30 km to visit Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities. And we will visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the royal stables, the granary and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Then we headed to Fes. We will spend the night in a Riad.

Day 6: Guided Tour of Fes:

We spent the day exploring the highlights of the city of Fes. The city is considered one of the imperial cities, in addition to being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.

First of all, we start the day by visiting the gate of the Royal Palace. Then, the well-preserved medieval Medina, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which we will visit with a local guide. We will visit the Blue Gate or Bab Boujloud, the entrance to the old Medina, which appears to be a labyrinth of alleys and streets. You will enter the Medina to visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the source of Najjarine, the Tenerias. And finally the mosque and the university of Quaraouin, the oldest university in the world. After this, we will leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter, also known as “la Mellah”. In the afternoon, we head to an ancient fortress to have a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, we return to your Riad.

Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara:

After breakfast, we continue south through Imouzzer, to visit Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperature, snow and Alpine-style architecture houses, no wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. After that, we continue towards the cedar forest, where the Barbary macaques live. Free time to feed them, while wandering through the forest. Later, we continue to Midelt, where we will have free time for lunch. We then drive to Merzouga via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley. With stops for panoramic views.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara desert of Merzouga, where the camels are changed, and cross the sand desert. We will make a stop at the top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Finally, continue to the camp, which is a combination of the traditional tents of the nomads and the luxury of a hotel. where you can enjoy the music of the Berber drums, while dancing around the bonfire, under a vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 8: Explore the Merzouga region: Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – Palm grove:

Waking up early in the morning is a must, to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then return by camel to Merzouga, where the driver waits. We dedicate the eighth day of your 13-day tour around Morocco from Casablanca to exploring the Merzouga region. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossil sites to fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities.

Firstly, we start our trip in Merzouga, driving off-road to visit an old eyeliner mine. Then we visited the nomads, in their handy tent. We will learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is the town of Khamlia, where we will enjoy the music of the Gnaoua, and the dance performances. Its inhabitants are originally from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. After that, we will take a walk through the palm grove. Then we will drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called the lake of flamingos. Dinner and accommodation in a hotel.

Day 9: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:

After breakfast, we leave the desert to visit the city of Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading center in the region, with a large lively souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

After a walk through the Rissani souk, we continued towards Erfoud where we visited one of the fossilized marble workshops. Then we cross the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of the Todra River has created a large canyon through the mountains making a tall red cliff canyon. These gorges are an ideal place for climbers. Free time to walk through the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. We then continue towards the Dades Valley, through Boumalne Dades. Inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation, and at a place on top of a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and accommodation in a hotel.

Day 10: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura Palm Groves – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech:

After breakfast, we continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna, to visit the Valley of Roses. The Rose Festival is celebrated annually in May. Where locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, oil, to cosmetic products. We then drive through the palm groves of Skoura, and visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle, before arriving in Ouarzazate, where we visit the studios, in which famous films were filmed, and also visit the Kasbah of Taourirt.

We leave to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, the Kasbah has appeared in many films such as: Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy etc. And in television series like Game Of Thrones. After that we visited the Kasbah of Telouet. We then continue towards Marrakesh, passing through the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, and the High Atlas Mountains. We will make stops for lunch, and to take photos in interesting places. We will spend the night in a Riad in Marrakech.

Day 11: Guided Tour of Marrakech:

After a hot breakfast, we will explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. The city is considered one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. The visit includes: the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koranic mosque of Ben Youssef, and a walk through the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Free time for lunch near Jemaa IFna Square. Later you will visit the Koutoubia mosque, the largest in Marrakech, and the Majorelle garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation. Free time to walk around Jemaa lFna on your own.

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira:

After breakfast, we head west to the city of Essaouira. Along the way we will make stops to see the Argan tree goats and also for panoramic views. We arrive at the city of Essaouira, which was previously called Mogador, one of the most important coastal cities in Morocco. We will visit the fishing port, the old walls with cannons, and also the old Medina. Finally, transfer to your hotel. Accommodation in Essaouira.

Day 13: Essaouira – Casablanca:

On the last day of your 13 Day Morocco tour, we leave Essaouira and drive along the coast. We will make stops for panoramic views. Finally, we arrived at Casablanca airport. End of the tour.
