Program Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen:

We will receive you at the Mohammed V airport and then we will go to the center of Casablanca where you will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest outside of Mecca and you will know the coast of “Corwall”. Afterwards, we will leave for Chefchaouen “the blue city”, where you will spend the night in a Riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen- Fes:

You will have the morning free to explore the magic and blue streets of Chefchaouen. Also, its Kasbah, which is located in the heart of the city and you can see the whole city from one of its towers. Also, a place called Rass el Maa, where people gather and have fun enjoying nature. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we will drive to Fes, which is the cultural city of Morocco. The night will be spent in a Riad within the walls of the old Medina.

Day 3: Full Day Exploring Fes:

Breakfast in your riad, then you will start exploring the old medina of Fes where you will visit the hidden treasures that only the locals know about. You will have the opportunity to visit Alkarawyine University which is the oldest spiritual university in the world, Molay Idriss mausoleum, Nejjarine springs and tanneries. After the meal you will be able to see the exterior of the Gate of the Royal Palace and stroll through the famous Jewish quarter “la Mellah”. Your visit to Fez also includes a brief visit to the famous ceramics factory, to then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez. Spend the night in your riad.

Day 4: Fes – Merzouga:

In the morning we will go to the mountains to a region known as Imouzzer, which is covered by forests of cedar, juniper and cork oak. The area is known for having abundant wildlife and we can see many types of birds, wild boars and Barbary monkeys on our scenic drive. The road will then begin to climb towards the Middle Atlas Mountains where we can see the slopes dotted with the tents and herds of goats of the nomadic Berbers who call this rugged region home. After having lunch in Midelt, we continue along mountain roads with views of the Oued Ziz. Passing through the Kasbahs and the palm groves, we pass through the adobe city of Er-Rachidia and arrive at the end of the afternoon in Merzouga, a city on the outskirts of the Sahara desert where we will spend the night.

Day 5: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga desert:

After having breakfast in your riad, we will leave for the southeast of Morocco. During this trip you will have the opportunity to stop at Ifrane which is “The Swiss land of Morocco” and then continue to the largest cedar forest in Africa where you will see barbarian apes. After having lunch in Midelt, we will head towards the Sahara desert crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Afterwards, we will arrive at the Ziz Valley, famous for the cultivation of dates. Finally, we will arrive at your hotel in Merzouga.

Day 6: Oasis – Nomads – Gnawa Music – Camel Ride and Night in a Berber Tent:

After breakfast, we will go to an Oasis, where we will discover an underground irrigation system and then we will drive along the sand dunes until we reach the nomads, where we will share a cup of tea with them and discover how they live in the desert of the Sahara. Afterwards, we will visit some baryte, cobalt and lead mines. We will also have the opportunity to try Berber pizza in the village of Khamlia and listen to Gnawa music. Finally, we will ride camels to a desert camp, where we will have dinner and spend an enchanting night under a starry sky.

Day 7: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud – Todra Valley and Gorge – Dades Valley:

Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to see the best sunrise of his life and then you will ride the camels back to the village of Merzouga where he will shower and have breakfast. Afterwards, we will go to Erfoud (which is the capital of fossils), then to Tinghir where we will enjoy one of the magnificent valleys of southeast Morocco that is the Todra valley and we will drive along it until we reach the Todra gorge where you will walk inside the cliffs of 300 m. Finally, we will go to the Dades Valley where our hotel is located.

Day 8: Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will take the path of the “Thousand kasbahs” towards the Valley of Roses and the great palm grove of Skoura. Later, we will arrive at Ouarzazate, which is the “Hollywood of Africa”, where we will stop in the center to enjoy the Taourirt Kasbah from outside. Half an hour from Ouarzazate, we will be in the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit the famous Kasbahs (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987). Famous films have been filmed in this spectacular setting, such as Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz…etc. Free time for lunch in the city. Afterwards, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains with stops to see Berber villages and different landscapes until we reach Marrakech.

Day 9: Exploring Marrakech:

After breakfast at the riad, you can start exploring Marrakech with a local guide, “the red city of Morocco”. We will make sure you see the most important historical and cultural sights including Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Ben Youssef Madrasa, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace. After having lunch in a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and see hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have free time to see for yourself the other parts of the city.

Day 10: Transfer to the Airport:

The time indicates transfer to the airport, end of trip.
