We start our excursion from Tangier to Chefchaouen at 9:00, heading to this charming city of houses dressed in an impressive blue color. A very attractive town, located in the Rif mountains and established under Andalusian influence. With this complete 1-day excursion to Chefchaouen from Tangier, you will spend the hours flying among so many attractions to see.

We will begin the tour of Chaouen visiting the 7 neighborhoods of the Medina. The first will be the Er Rif Al Andalus neighborhood, where we will appreciate the traditional Plaza Majzén. Later we will explore the most important square in the city, the well-known Uta el Hammam.

Continuing with our guided tour of Chaouen, we will visit the great Masjid El Aadam mosque and the walled fortress of the Alcazaba (Kasbah), built at the end of the 17th century. We will go around the mosque, the Mellah (Jewish quarter) and the popular souks, full of textile shops and original handicrafts from the area. Then we will walk through Jaracin, known by locals as the shoemakers’ neighborhood, where the outstanding Sidi Buhansa Mosque is located.

Leaving the Medina and crossing the Bab Onsar gate, we will stop to admire the Ras el Ma Fountain, which will captivate us with the incredible views of its waterfalls and natural pools formed over the years. We will see its mills and the native washerwomen. Next, we will visit the impressive Jemaa Bouzafar Mosque, also called “the Spanish Mosque”.

Saying goodbye to Chefchaouen, we will make one last stop in the Rif Sebbadin neighborhood, where two incredible places are located that we cannot miss: Sebbadin Square and its original 15th century mosque. Then we will return to Tangier, and thus we will conclude our enchanting journey through this enchanting city.
